The courses Mthed 276, Mthed 277, Mthed 377 and 378 all require special permission to add. The following are descriptions for how to obtain this permission and add these particular courses.
In order to add this class, you must receive permission from the Department of Mathematics Education and from the Education Student Services Office. To do this, you must email email@example.com and include your Net ID or student ID number. The Department of Mathematics Education will check to see if you meet the prerequisites (that you will have completed Math 113, 290, 313 and Mthed 177 with a C or better before the beginning of the semester for which you are registering). If you meet these requirements, you will be granted permission from the Department of Mathematics Education and you will receive an email telling you to get your fringerprinting and background clearance done. For information on this process, see education.byu.edu/ess/fingerprint.html. Once your background check clears, you will receive an email from the Education Student Services Office telling you and then you can add the class.
Students must be formally admitted to the major (which happens in Mthed 276) before they can register for this course. It looks at the major code when registering. If you have any problems or questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mthed 377 and 378
This course should be taken the last semester before student teaching. To be cleared to add this course, email Dr. Amy Tanner (email@example.com) with your Net ID or student ID number. Note that you must take Mthed 378 concurrently with Mthed 377.
